The PS3 version of RE5 sold 319,590 units in its debut week. The Xbox 360 placed third with a respectable 79,157 units, bringing the game's total to just under 400,000. Both versions sold a high 70% of their stock, so it's possible that they'll both make it back into the top ten next week.
Here's the full top ten.

In hardware, the PS3 rose a bit this week, but failed to remain at the top. Taking top this week was the PSP, with 59,568 units. The surge from last week's 35,588 units was due to the release of two new "Carnival Color" systems, both of which sold in the 18,000 range.
Here's the full hardware chart, with last week's total in parenthesis:
- PSP: 59,568 (35,588)
- PS3: 39,835 (36,513)
- DSi: 32,102 (35,827)
- Wii: 16,560 (17,876)
- Xbox 360: 14,994 (11,795)
- DS Lite: 11,240 (11,774)
As for software, it's likely that the PS3 will take the top spot for the third week in a row next week following yesterday's release of Warriors Orochi Z.
